CPRD’s Children’s Camp teaches students over a dozen dance genres through cultural movement, including Global activities, crafts, and daily performances. Past genres have included Hip Hop, Capoeira, Celtic Polynesian, West African, Jazz, Hula, Modern, South Korean, Flamenco, Ballet, Mexican Folklorico, East Indian, and more!
We will be offering housing this summer at an additional cost. It is offered on a first-come-first-served basis, as we have limited spots. Housing will be $400 per week. There is no scholarship for housing.
Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Academy’s policy is designed to promote students’ disciplined study of dance. Scholarships are awarded to students based on financial need, dedication to the program and availability. The financial aspect of this process will be modeled off of the Denver Office of Economic Development’s 2021 Income Limits.

The MSU Denver Dance major is unique in its versatility and in its partnership with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD). CPRD is recognized worldwide for their dynamic cross-cultural curriculum, community engagement, innovative choreography, and promotion of American dance heritage. In this exciting program, CPRD’s mission of social transformation through dance and MSU Denver’s academic rigor and focus on real-world experience converge.
The dance curriculum includes coursework in modern, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, world dance forms, world dance history and culture, community-based dance practices, somatics and anatomy, pedagogy, improvisation, choreography, contemporary dance and interdisciplinary performance, movement analysis, dance production, and arts administration. The Dance Program allows students to combine their interest in dance with other fields, taking classes in non-profit management, teaching or arts administration, among others. The program will utilize service learning, field experience, and internship programs to enrich students’ learning and to foster a connection between MSU and its student body and the Denver community. We aim to prepare students for their future in dance and beyond, supporting their specific career and educational goals through concrete learning experiences and creative exploration.

The Academy opens Monday-Thursday at 4:00pm and on Saturdays at 8:00am. We are closed on Sundays and Fridays.

b) Click a “Class Schedule/Sign-In” button above
c) Visit the Academy Desk after 4:00pm Monday-Thursday and from 8:00am-2:15pm on Saturdays.
We have a Creative Dance Class for children ages 1-2 and their parents on Saturdays from 8:45- 9:30am.

We have a drop-in policy, you may take classes whenever you like and need not commit to a specific series. You may purchase a 10-class bundle for a savings.
Students have up to one hour before class begins to cancel their reservation. Students can cancel their reservation online through Mindbody or by calling the Academy at (303) 295-1759 x 17 to cancel. If a student doesn’t show, the fee will be forfeited. In the case of a last-minute class cancellation, the student’s class credit may remain in their account if the cancellation is communicated.
