Based in Five Points, Denver, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) is an anchor arts institution rooted in cultural traditions of the African Diaspora and dedicated to cross cultural connections. This multifaceted non-profit organization is comprised of five pillars, namely, the CPRD Ensemble, Academy, Theatre, Arts-in-Education, and Arts-in-Wellbeing programs. The Academy Manager works in collaboration with the programming team to ensure accessibility and viability of each program and activity.

Position Description

CPRD is excited to welcome a full-time employee to our Arts & Wellbeing Pillar. CPRD emerged out of the Freedom and Black Arts Movements – working along this continuum, the organization is eager to build upon its history of civic engagement, community development, and whole health initiatives with a sharper focus on job training, mental & physical health programs, and advocacy for policymaking. The Community Enrichment Coordinator is a new position that will work across CPRD youth and intergenerational programs to promote positive mental health through trauma-informed practices and curriculum. CPRD community programs include Healing Power of Arts lecture demonstration, International Summer Dance Institute, STREAM, CPRD Academy, and the Mental Health is Wealth internship program.

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is a multifaceted cultural arts institution comprised of five pillars: The CPRD Ensemble, Academy, Theatre, Arts-in-Education, and Arts-in-Wellbeing. The Community Enrichment Coordinator will support the growth and impact of mental health programming, community engagements, as well as co-develop diverse multi-cultural events and workforce development career opportunities throughout Colorado along with, and under supervision from the Director of Advocacy & Engagement. This position will support CPRD internship efforts and administrative duties for current internship programs. Regarding CPRD general education programs, this position provides culturally appropriate, non-clinical support for participants to access and navigate community resources for youth mental health within the current framework of CPRD’s Arts-in-Wellbeing pillar.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Support quarterly objectives and focus areas of Advocacy & Engagement Director.

· Attend meetings alongside A&E Director with elevated preparatory meeting techniques and practices.

· Log community and corporate partners by pillar involvement (Advocacy, Engagement, Wellness, Career Development).

· Co-develop CPRD internship intake and placement processes (Moving AHEAD programs).

· Event Operations (e.g., event formatting, event metrics, marketing & promotion, vendor support, technical production, talent     liaison, etc.)

· Co-develop talking points and messaging for arts advocacy, mental health, whole health initiatives to reach specific audiences.

· Format innovative-intergenerational Whole Health education processes.

· Have an incredible time affecting change and measurable community growth!

Qualifications/Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Associates Degree or completion of a certified Community Health Worker training program preferred.

· Previous experience with youth guidance or counseling and community-based organizations.

· Crisis Prevention Intervention or Youth Mental Health First Aid training (preferred).

· A strong work ethic and unwavering standards of personal and professional integrity.

· Technologically skilled with spreadsheets, presentations, and basic business marketing.

· Strong planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Understanding diverse and multilingual communities.

· Work effectively in an environment with diverse cultures and multiple perspectives.

· Comprehension and value for vision and mission of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance.

Class and Compensation:

Full time

Salary Range: $36,500-$40,000

CPRD offers a comprehensive employee benefits program:

· 2 weeks of paid time off

· Ten (10) paid holidays

· Two (2) personal days

· Participation in CPRD’s health insurance plan with an 80% contribution paid by CPRD

· Full year access to Academy movement classes
